Freshman right-handed pitcher, Nate Brown, will take the mound for the Gators Tuesday night against third ranked Florida State. Brown, a Wisconsin native, looks for his second career victory along with bragging rights against the Gator’s biggest foe.

Brown looks to improve his 6.75 ERA that he earned in his first two appearances in this top-five matchup that is being called the “Sunshine Showdown.”

Keeping his cool, the Gator’s newby responded to his upcoming matchup with the following:

“It’s just another game,” Brown Said. “I am excited to get out on the mound and pitch.”

With such confidence, there might be some dust to brush off as this will be Brown’s first appearance in over two weeks. Brown last pitched on February 28, when he went three innings against the Knights of the University of Central Florida.

If Brown struggles early on, the Gators will fall back on their highly experienced and talented bullpen to close out the game.

Florida State travels to Gainesville Tuesday night with a slightly better record at 13-3 compared the Gator’s 12-5 record. In the past, the Gators have displayed their dominance by beating the Seminoles 12 out of the last 15 times these teams have met.

The game is set to take place at 6:30 p.m. at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium at Perry Field.
